Update Issues
Update issues are usually related to open app windows, stale installer files, or confusion between Stable and Early Access builds.
Before updating
- close PosterFlow Admin
- close Display Client windows
- download the current installer from the official PosterFlow source
- run the installer
- reopen PosterFlow Admin
Version did not change
If the version still looks old after updating:
- confirm you ran the newest installer
- close all PosterFlow windows and install again
- restart Windows if files were locked during install
- check the release notes to confirm the expected version number
Installer will not run
Check:
- Windows SmartScreen or antivirus prompts
- whether the installer finished downloading
- whether you have permission to install apps
- whether an older PosterFlow process is still running
Settings changed after update
Early Access builds may adjust layouts, labels, or defaults. Check the release notes for changed behavior before assuming a setting was lost.
