Plugin categories

PosterFlow plugin areas may include:

  • metadata importers
  • content providers
  • reference or playback integrations
  • schedule integrations
  • automation integrations

Current examples

Customer-facing examples include:

  • NFO metadata importer for local NFO-style metadata workflows
  • Kodi-related metadata workflows where supported
  • Plex-related metadata workflows where supported
  • TMDB content provider for provider-backed poster feeds
  • Fanart.tv artwork support where supported by the build or provider flow

Plugin priority

If multiple sources can provide metadata, PosterFlow may use plugin priority or source selection to decide which information wins. Use the Admin Console plugin area to review what is enabled and what source should be preferred.

Credentials and API keys

Some provider-backed plugins may require an account, API key, or provider configuration. Store those values only inside the app settings where requested. Do not post API keys or account tokens in public support threads.

Troubleshooting plugin imports

If a plugin does not return expected results:

  • confirm the plugin is enabled
  • confirm any required credentials are entered correctly
  • search for a simpler title or exact title match
  • check whether the title exists in the provider source
  • verify your network connection
  • test with one item before running a large import
