Performance depends on library size, image size, display resolution, transition effects, and the PC running the Admin Console or Display Client.

Slow library browsing

Try:

  • test with a smaller library section
  • avoid importing a very large library all at once
  • keep poster artwork at reasonable image sizes
  • close other heavy applications during large imports or scans
  • restart the Admin Console after a large metadata operation

Choppy display transitions

Try:

  • use a simpler transition such as Fade
  • reduce transition duration
  • reduce display resolution if the display machine is underpowered
  • avoid extremely large poster image files
  • close background apps that may be using GPU or CPU resources

Display takes time to refresh

Large collections, provider-backed content, and artwork-heavy layouts may take longer to refresh. Test with a small collection first to confirm the display workflow is working.

Good performance baseline

For best results, start with a small poster set, confirm the Display Client is smooth, then add more posters, schedules, and effects one feature at a time.
